Children living in York face considerable troubles associated with the ills of urban living. Born and raised in York, Mr. Dorm has a strong connection with the community he serves through Stick N Move Boxing. Mr. Dorm’s history parallels the current struggles faced by Stick N Move’s participants.

 

The organization’s vision was formed from his experiences as a child growing up in York coupled with his long history of working with those in need of positive outreach and intervention. For the past ten years, Mr. Dorm has provided counsel for individuals and families living in homeless shelters in York. Similarly, he has worked with Youth Advocate, a program that caters to the counseling and guidance needs of at-risk children facing probation.

 

In an effort to create a more comprehensive and effective service for those who cannot afford the services offered by traditional afterschool programs, Mr. Dorm founded Stick N Move Boxing. The establishment of this organization will allow more children and families in need to be reached, included, and impacted by his vision.
